     Cupless Policy

At The Runners Edge, were committed to reducing our environmental impact and promoting sustainable running practices. Thats why all of our races and events are cupless.

    What does cupless mean?
You wont find disposable cups at our aid stations. Instead, participants are expected to bring their own reusable hydration solutionsuch as a handheld bottle, hydration vest, or collapsible cup.

    Why did we go cupless?
Less Waste: Traditional races generate thousands of single-use cups. Going cupless helps us significantly reduce landfill waste.

Cleaner Trails: Fewer discarded cups means less litter on our beautiful Montana trails and roads.

Community-Led Sustainability: Our running community cares about the outdoorswe want our events to reflect that.

    What should you bring?
    A reusable handheld water bottle

    A hydration pack or vest

A collapsible cup (like a HydraPak SpeedCup or similar)

Aid stations will still offer water and electrolyte drinks just no disposable cups. Volunteers will be happy to refill your bottle or cup as needed!

    Dont have a reusable option?

Weve got you covered! The above options are available for purchase at The Runner"s Edge.

    Inclusion Policy

At The Runners Edge, we are proud to create welcoming, inclusive, and safe events for all runners, regardless of gender identity or expression.

    Gender Categories
We offer Male, Female, and Non-Binary categories for all races. Participants are encouraged to register in the category that best aligns with their identity.

    Transgender Athletes
Transgender athletes are welcome to participate in the category that aligns with their gender identity. We trust our participants to enter the division that reflects who they are.

    Non-Binary Athletes
We recognize that not everyone fits within a traditional binary framework. Our non-binary division is open to any runner who identifies outside of the male/female binary. Results and awards are provided equitably, and this division is treated with the same respect and recognition as all others.

In order to compete for prizes in the womens division, non-binary runners or transgender women must have been assigned female at birth or have been undergoing continuous, medically supervised hormone treatments for gender transition for at least one year prior to the race.

There are no restrictions on eligibility for prizes in the mens division.

    Our Commitment
We do not require proof of gender to compete.

We stand firmly against harassment or discrimination of any kind.

We continually review our policies to ensure they reflect best practices in equity and inclusion.

    Feedback & Growth
If you have ideas, concerns, or suggestions about how we can better support LGBTQIA+ participants, we invite you to reach out. We're committed to listening and learning.

    Together, we run stronger.
